Lately, Elizabeth and I have been participating under the team name of Teriyaki Donut in biking and pedestrian events known as Street Scrambles or Night and Day. You are given a map with various locations circled, and you must visit as many as you can in a particular time limit. For each location, you are given a multiple-choice question to answer (e.g., What is the third word on the sign? A. Trespassing B. Park C. Camping) to prove you were there.
In 2006, I started riding with Omar on our Trail-A-Bike, which puts us in the family class. Elizabeth is participating as well, on another team (we'll reunite for Night and Day, since Omar can't do more than the 3-hour version).
